Meril - What's The Difference?

Meril sutures are a popular choice among medical professionals. Their unique strength sets them apart from other leading brands, while the excellent handling and smoothness of Meril sutures contribute to easier and more precise surgical procedures, leading to better patient outcomes.

With flashpoint premium cutting, the needles provide precise and efficient cutting during procedures. Customisations to both the suture and needle, mean they're easy to configure to your specific needs.

Meril sutures have no memory in cardiovascular polypropylene, which allows them to be easily manipulated during surgery, reducing the risk of complications.

Moreover, Meril uses an 18 monofilament thread, which is stronger and more durable than the commonly used 16 monofilament thread. Calcium stearate and polyglactin 370 coatings are used to enhance their smoothness, and prevent tissue damage and reduce tissue reactions.
