TRUFORMA® Diagnostic Assays:

Feline fTSH Assay – Hyperthyroidism Detection

The TRUFORMA® feline-optimised TSH assay is capable of detecting low TSH concentrations associated with feline hyperthyroidism, helping veterinarians distinguish euthyroid from hyperthyroid cats for a more accurate diagnosis.

The fTSH assay supports:

• Screening: Create a thyroid profile to track trends and identify the 1-to-3-year subclinical hyperthyroid phase.
• Diagnosis: Identify the 10–40% of early to mild hyperthyroid cats with normal T4 levels.
• Monitoring: Test for the development of Iatrogenic Hypothyroidism (IH).

Canine Cortisol Assay

The TRUFORMA® canine-optimised cortisol assay provides rapid, reliable, and accurate point-of-care cortisol quantification.

Accurate cortisol measurement is essential for diagnosing and monitoring adrenal dysfunction:

• Cushing’s Disease: Low Dose Dexamethasone Suppression (LDDS) or ACTH Stimulation testing to diagnose hyperadrenocorticism.
• Addison’s Disease: ACTH Stimulation testing to diagnose hypoadrenocorticism.
• Monitoring: Assess and adjust medication dosing.

eACTH Assay – Cushing’s Disease Differentiation

The TRUFORMA® eACTH assay is the only in-clinic assay designed to help differentiate the cause of canine Cushing’s Disease. It supports identification of whether Cushing’s is caused by a pituitary tumour (PDH) or an adrenal tumour (ADH/FAT), helping set an optimal treatment plan before the client leaves the exam room.

The eACTH assay may also help differentiate primary vs. secondary Addison’s disease and support medication monitoring.

Storage Information:

TRUFORMA® cartridges must be stored in a refrigerator upon receipt. There is no need to warm them before use - simply remove a cartridge from the fridge when you’re ready to use it.
