How to use:

• For second intention healing on mix with Hydrogel at a ratio of 2:1 and apply the paste to wound to coverage of 6mm thick.
• Cover with a silicone foam dressing.
• For haemostasis, apply the powder directly onto the area.

How it works:

• Encourages wound healing through scaffold structure: unique biocompatible porous structure that provides excellent absorption and scaffolding for cell proliferation and migration, allowing fibroblasts to migrate across the wound bed and facilitating granulation, angiogenesis and tissue repair.
• Induces haemostasis: in acute wounds, collagen rapidly activates platelets and coagulating factors to induce haemostasis.
• Assists in reducing barriers to wound healing: provides substrate collagen to divert matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) digestion from healing tissues and reduces inflammation that may slow or prevent healing.
• Crosslinking process increases mechanical strength and moderates enzymatic digestion.
• High exudate absorption and retention provides moist wound healing environment.
