Vacuumat ® Vacuum Immobilisation Mattress

The vacuum system allows complete immobilisation in the desired position, which is ideal for radiology, ultrasound, MRI, CT and surgery. 15% more microbeads to perfectly conform to the animal's shape.

Product Features:

• Flexible, comfortable and made of sturdy polyurethane material which is easy to clean and provides thermal insulation.
• High flow valve enables quick vacuum in just a few seconds, whist opening valve allows the mat to deflate and turn back to initial position instantaneously - this means that the patient can be repositioned during surgery.
• High-quality safety valve, which can maintain vacuum over more than 72 hours.
• Radiolucent.
• Supplied with a pump - replacement pumps available.
• NOT SUITABLE FOR USE WHEN OPERATING AN ELECTRIC SCALPEL, AN ELECTROSURGERY UNIT OR CAUTERY UNIT OR SIMILAR.

Imaging compatibility

The Vacuumat® can stay in place during diagnostic imaging, so you don't need to move the patient once they're positioned and immobilised.

• X-ray: The mattress itself is radiolucent, so it won't obscure your images. Only the valve shows up, plus the handles on the XL size. Position the patient so these stay clear of the area you're examining.
• CT: The Vacuumat® is suitable for use in CT. However, CT visibility of the mattress is not confirmed, so we recommend checking it on your own system before relying on it for clinical imaging.
