Description

What is Purified Water BP?: Purified Water BP has been Purified to meet the standards of the British Pharmacopoeia, it has had almost all its mineral ions removed from it, including Sodium, Iron, Copper, Calcium and chlorides.

High-Quality Formulation: Purified Water BP is produced through a meticulous 5 stage process, ensuring the highest level of purity and quality. The process begins with pre-treatment through carbon filters, followed by softening with a water softener. Next, our water is sent through a twin-bed deioniser, using Nuclear Grade resin material to purify the water, the electrical conductivity after this stage will be less than 1-2µS. To further enhance its purity, our Purified Water BP is treated with UV ultraviolet high-intensity light and filtered through a 0.2-micron microbial particulate system. Finally, our Purified Water BP is polished through a single-bed deioniser, again using nuclear-grade resin to ensure it meets our stringent quality standards.

No Additives: We prioritise purity, delivering only the highest quality for our customers - you can trust that our product has no preservatives or additives.

Manufactured in the UK: Our Purified Water BP is manufactured and bottled using non-toxic, chemical-resistant bottles, providing reliable and trusted quality to our customers.

Frequent Uses:

Calibrating Instruments

It serves as a standard for calibrating sensitive analytical equipment, helping to maintain precision in instruments like pH meters and spectrophotometers.

Chemical Analysis

The use of Purified Water BP is critical in assays or titrations, ensuring that the only active components in reactions are the chemicals being tested, not contaminants from the water.

Cleaning Laboratory Equipment

Its purity makes it suitable for rinsing glassware, pipettes, and other tools without introducing impurities that could affect subsequent experiments.

Microbiological Testing

It is commonly used in preparing culture media or diluting samples in microbiological testing, ensuring that bacterial growth isn’t influenced by contaminants.

Preparation of Reagents and Solutions

Often used for diluting chemicals or preparing aqueous solutions, ensuring that no additional ions or contaminants interfere with the intended concentrations or reactions.
