Buffered Formalin 10% 5 litre (Fixative)

This 5 litre fixative is ready to use 10% solution of buffered formalin. It is the most commonly used general-purpose routine fixative for tissue specimens. This product has been designed to provide good fixation and sufficient tissue penetration whilst minimising chemical reactions associated with fully saturated solutions. This solution is hypotonic in buffer ions and has a pH of 6.8, and tends to reduce the formation of formalin pigment.
